Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Android Ten (ranked 2908 p4p, 167 weight class) and Jose Pacheco (ranked 3241 p4p, 183 weight class). The key to victory for Android Ten has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pacheco tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ten swivels and escapes.

Pacheco looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Pacheco is trying to control the action in half guard but Ten is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Pacheco is working for a kimura but Ten is defending it quite comfortably.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Android Ten has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Pacheco.
Ten fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Pacheco.

Android Ten seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pacheco shoots for a double leg takedown but Ten sprawls well. He's pushed Pacheco's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Ten shoots in and bounces Pacheco off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Pacheco has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Ten has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ten's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ten misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ten lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Ten shoots in but no luck this time.
Ten lands with a thumping leg kick.
Pacheco tries for a takedown but Ten sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Ten misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ten throws a body shot but no joy.
Ten closes the distance and clinches up with Pacheco, looking for a takedown. Ten pushes Pacheco against the cage but Pacheco circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Pacheco takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Pacheco goes for a double leg but Ten avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ten continues to drive forward.
Ten appears to be looking for a big counter.

Ten gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Pacheco stands and throws Ten's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Ten wants to control but Pacheco postures up.

Pacheco advances to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jose Pacheco will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Ten shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pacheco sprawls well. Pacheco wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ten gets slowly back to his feet.
Pacheco is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ten throws a sloppy head kick and Pacheco moves out of range easily.

and Pacheco counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ten won't be happy with that.
A lull in the action here.

Ten is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Pacheco's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Pacheco! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Ten has tapped! This one is allllll over!
