Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Quinton Farmer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marko Divac!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Farmer avoids the head kick by Divac.
Farmer throws a quick counter head kick but Divac was just out of range.

Divac shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Farmer has one foot on Divac's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
A left and a right from Divac both land. Nice combination.


It looks like Quinton Farmer has been cut.
Divac works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Divac misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Divac throws a head kick but Farmer moves out of range.

Divac fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Farmer sprawls well initially but Divac persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Farmer has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Divac is on him like a limpet, forcing Farmer back against the cage.

Farmer jumps guard but Divac turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Farmer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Divac clinches with his opponent.
Divac wants to break the clinch but can't.

Farmer has picked Divac up - he's going for a ride! Farmer dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Divac has hold of Farmer's hands but Farmer slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Divac is defending against the submission attempts here by Farmer.
Farmer could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Divac is looking for a sweep. Farmer is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Farmer passes into side control, despite Divac's attempt to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Farmer in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Farmer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Divac tries to buck Farmer off but Farmer is having none of it.

Farmer lands an elbow.
Divac is working to avoid the ground and pound but Farmer connects with a decent elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Farmer cracks Divac with a big right hand but Divac just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Farmer tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Farmer has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Divac tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.

Farmer lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Farmer landing strikes, looking to finish!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Farmer cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Farmer looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Farmer lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Farmer closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Farmer lands in his opponent's guard.
Farmer might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Farmer lands a couple of elbows.
Farmer postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Quinton Farmer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Farmer is standing up over Divac. Divac looks to escape but Farmer dives into side control.
Divac really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Farmer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Divac wants to get back to full guard but Farmer has passed into side control.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Farmer is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Divac looks calm but he's in trouble here. Farmer gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Divac is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Farmer lets go of the hold and Divac can pop his arm back in it's socket.
