Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Iron Sheik (ranked 3921 p4p, 298 weight class) and Big Baby (ranked 4482 p4p, 323 weight class). Big Baby will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Big Baby!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baby throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Sheik counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Sheik lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Baby is trying to drag Sheik to the mat but Sheik just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Baby is looking to take this one to the mat.
Sheik makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

It looks like Big Baby has been cut.
A short right from Sheik.
Baby has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
A nice right hand lands inside from Sheik.
Sheik lands a shoulder strike.
Baby changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Sheik fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Iron Sheik has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Big Baby.
Sheik blocks a head kick by Baby.
Baby has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Sheik is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Sheik walks forward, straight into a front kick from Baby.
Baby throws a sloppy head kick

and Sheik holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sheik lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Baby backwards.
Sheik lands with a light punch inside.

Baby is rocked!

Baby blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Baby is still on wobbly legs! Can Sheik finish him?
Sheik just leaning against Baby, taking a breather.
Sheik definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Sheik.
Sheik is leaning against Baby and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Baby is looking to control Sheik's arms but Sheik gets an underhook and turns him. Now Baby has his back to the cage.
Baby seems to have recovered his senses.
Sheik scores with a shoulder strike.
Sheik creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Baby with a big uppercut! Baby tries to clinch up but Sheik pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Baby to the mat! Baby covers up and Sheik unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Iron Sheik!
Iron Sheik was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
