The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Umbutu gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Augie working some strikes from top position.
Augie has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Augie makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Augie passes Umbutu's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Augie not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Augie winds up and cracks Umbutu with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Augie wants to free his trapped foot but Umbutu is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Augie lands with a punch from half guard.
Umbutu is looking to control Augie's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Umbutu avoid being mounted?

Augie is working for a submission of some sort.
Augie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Augie works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Umbutu is working to avoid the ground and pound but Augie connects with a decent elbow.
Augie looks up at the clock and then as Umbutu takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Augie smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
