Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Blyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akao Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blyer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Machida shoots in but Blyer avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Machida fails in his attempt to clinch.
Machida looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Blyer is fending him off so far but Machida persists. Nope, Blyer circles away and we're back to standing.
Blyer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Machida tries to avoid it but Blyer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Machida to the ground. Machida escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Machida closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
Machida misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Blyer.
Blyer trying to control the position but instead, Machida has worked for underhooks and has pushed Blyer into the ropes.
Blyer drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Blyer is looking to control Machida's arms but Machida gets an underhook and turns him. Now Blyer has his back to the ropes.
Machida tries for a takedown. No joy.
Rocky Blyer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Akao Machida.
A battle for position here, against the ropes.
Machida tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blyer is looking to break free of the clinch but Machida has double underhooks.

Machida manages to break the clinch.
Some wild striking there from Blyer.
Machida moves in looking to clinch but Blyer pushes him off.
Machida fails with an attempt to clinch.
Blyer rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Machida moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Blyer lands with an uppercut that bounces Machida off the ropes and back into rage.

Machida slips a jab and a cross from Blyer.
Blyer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Akao Machida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blyer connects with a nice cross there... Machida is looking wobbly and Blyer recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Machida to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Blyer jumps onto the ropes to celebrate with the crowd!
