Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kris Ingram (ranked 24840 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Reefer (ranked 5422 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kris Ingram!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ryan Reefer!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reefer fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Reefer will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ingram really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Kris Ingram has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Reefer.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Ingram bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Reefer's guard.

Ingram will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Ingram is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Reefer has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Reefer is bucking up trying to escape but Ingram cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

and Reefer counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Reefer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ingram looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Ingram shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Reefer as he avoids it easily.

Reefer jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ingram walks away with a smile on his face. Reefer gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Kris Ingram is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Reefer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Kris Ingram overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Ingram postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Reefer looks a forlorn figure.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Reefer is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Ingram gets his way!

Reefer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ingram. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Reefer grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Ingram is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Ingram gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Ingram gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Ingram apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Ingram closes the distance and clinches up with Reefer, looking for a takedown. Ingram pushes Reefer against the cage but Reefer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kris Ingram. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Reefer tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Ingram has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ingram cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Reefer is trapped and Ingram is scoring with shots to the head and body.
Ryan Reefer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kris Ingram is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
