Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Hernandez (ranked 5461 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Cardoso (ranked 7905 p4p, 670 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dexter Hernandez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Daniel Cardoso! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cardoso closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hernandez's guard. Hernandez keeping moving, preventing Cardoso from controlling successfully. Cardoso throwing strikes but missing. Hernandez seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Cardoso tries to free his leg and advance position but Hernandez is retaining full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cardoso is fighting to break Hernandez's control of his arms but Hernandez is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Cardoso trying to control the position from guard on top but Hernandez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hernandez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Hernandez controlling Cardoso's posture.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Cardoso looking to score a takedown here. Hernandez is defending well but Cardoso drives through and ends up in Hernandez's guard.
Hernandez pushes Cardoso off and scrambles back to his feet.
Hernandez throws a right hand that misses
and Cardoso counters with a nice low kick that buckles Hernandez's knee momentarily.
Hernandez clinches up against the cage.
Cardoso escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cardoso rushes Hernandez and presses him up against the cage.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Cardoso is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hernandez is defending well for now.
Cardoso lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action! Cardoso is trying to control. Hernandez wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Cardoso landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Hernandez is concentrating on defense, preventing Cardoso from advancing position. Cardoso is looking to pass Hernandez's guard but actually Hernandez recovers to full guard.
Hernandez had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cardoso defends it easily.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Cardoso pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hernandez is keeping the position for now. Cardoso must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Cardoso trying to control the position from guard on top but Hernandez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cardoso being controlled here momentarily.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hernandez continues to stall.
Cardoso has gone for a leg lock! Hernandez slips out almost immediately though and dives into Cardoso's guard.
 And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Dexter Hernandez will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Daniel Cardoso's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Cardoso drags the fight down to the ground.
Hernandez stands up from Cardoso's guard - Hernandez perhaps looking for a knockout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cardoso moves into the clinch. Hernandez wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Cardoso has him pressed against the cage.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Hernandez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Cardoso looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Hernandez is holding on to half guard well. Hernandez wants to control but Cardoso is keeping busy.
Hernandez is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Cardoso is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Hernandez wants to get back to full guard. Cardoso scoring with strikes to the body and head.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Cardoso lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Hernandez controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Cardoso stalling away here and it's allowed Hernandez to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Cardoso wants to control from the top but Hernandez keeps moving. Cardoso content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Hernandez keeping full guard, as Cardoso tries to pass. Hernandez wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Cardoso trying to control the position from guard on top but Hernandez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Cardoso misses with a few strikes there.
Cardoso throws a right and a left that Hernandez avoids nicely. Hernandez looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Hernandez throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Daniel Cardoso seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hernandez tries to keep at a distance but Cardoso has taken the fight into the clinch.
Hernandez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Cardoso showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Daniel Cardoso's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Cardoso moves into the clinch. Hernandez jumps guard but Cardoso turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Cardoso lands a damaging elbow.

It looks like Dexter Hernandez has been cut.
Cardoso breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Cardoso decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Hernandez wants to stand back up but Cardoso manages to pass into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hernandez is trying to control Cardoso's posture but Cardoso avoids it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Cardoso tries to advance to mount but can't. Cardoso wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hernandez keeps working. Cardoso takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. You can see the frustration on Hernandez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. I wouldn't like to be where Hernandez is right now. Cardoso working away.
Cardoso decides to stand up, so the ref orders Hernandez to his feet.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Hernandez enables Cardoso to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hernandez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Hernandez has his feet on Cardoso's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Cardoso closes the distance and clinches. Cardoso using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Hernandez has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Cardoso jumps guard and drags Hernandez to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cardoso is on top in guard.
 The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hernandez throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Hernandez has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Cardoso wants to control from the top but Hernandez keeps moving. Hernandez seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that's the end of the fight! Daniel Cardoso comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Cardoso has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
