Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Herbal The Leaf (ranked 4029 p4p, 119 weight class) and Andrew Elliot (ranked 3799 p4p, 108 weight class). Herbal The Leaf has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Herbal The Leaf!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andrew Elliot!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Francis DeMontford and Summer Carpenter.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elliot displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from The Leaf.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Elliot.
Elliot closes the distance and clinches up with The Leaf, looking for a takedown. Elliot pushes The Leaf against the ropes but The Leaf circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Elliot's coach down at K.O. Koala's was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Elliot's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Elliot shoots for a takedown but The Leaf saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Herbal The Leaf has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrew Elliot.
The Leaf throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Elliot defends well against a solid takedown attempt from The Leaf.

The Leaf drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Elliot dives on top into guard.

Elliot got a little sloppy there for a moment and The Leaf has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Elliot has managed to get both his arms back between The Leaf's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The Leaf has his foot on Elliot's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Elliot works his way back into a safe position though.
Elliot wants to control from the top but The Leaf keeps moving.
Elliot loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Elliot makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The Leaf is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The Leaf wants to sweep but no luck.
Elliot postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Elliot is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The Leaf is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Elliot defends well.

The Leaf seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The Leaf knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Elliot on the ground.
Elliot tries to score with some ground and pound. The Leaf controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Elliot is trying to get an arm triangle but The Leaf is defending well.

Elliot has hold of The Leaf's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! The Leaf tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Elliot cranks the arm and The Leaf screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from The Leaf, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
