The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Molay works over Philips's head and body with a nice combination.


It looks like Joe Philips has been cut.
De Molay missing with a left hand there. Philips was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Philips steps to the side to avoid the strikes from De Molay.
De Molay wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
De Molay looks to score with a jab to the body but Philips is just out of range.
Philips tries a head kick but it misses.
Philips fails with an attempt to clinch.

With the fighters up against the cage, Philips throws an elbow but misses.

De Molay lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
De Molay is trying to break the clinch but Philips has him pressed against the cage.
Philips comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

De Molay tries to throw a body punch but Philips avoids it by throwing De Molay back against the cage.

Philips is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
De Molay tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Philips tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and De Molay avoids it.
Philips lands a nice elbow.

Philips is looking to control De Molay's arms but De Molay gets an underhook and turns him. Now Philips has his back to the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Philips throws a push kick but De Molay slaps the foot to one side.
No joy there for Philips, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
De Molay throws a right hand that Philips ducks under and follows up with a left that Philips also avoids with ease.
Philips was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
De Molay has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

De Molay lands with a good body shot.
De Molay lands with an uppercut that bounces Philips off the cage and back into range.
De Molay connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
De Molay dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Joe Philips is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
De Molay tests Philips's chin there with a solid looking shot.


Philips is rocked!
A punch combination from De Molay misses.
Oh Philips is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
De Molay is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Philips seems to have got his legs back now.
Philips tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but De Molay paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jacob De Molay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
De Molay lands with a nice combination. Philips backs away looking to recover.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
De Molay thuds a left hand into Philips's body.
Philips throws a right hand that De Molay ducks under and follows up with a left that De Molay also avoids with ease.

De Molay lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Philips falls backwards - clearly groggy! De Molay dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
