Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Arnold Berto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Salvius Caltorius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Arnold Berto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Salvius Caltorius!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Berto gets the takedown into side control.
Caltorius manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Berto has hold of Caltorius's hands but Caltorius slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Berto wants to get back to his feet.
Caltorius throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Berto is looking to control Caltorius's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Berto avoid being mounted?
Caltorius trying to pass the guard but Berto defending well.
Caltorius prevents Berto from standing back up.
Caltorius trying to control from half guard but Berto is working away.
Caltorius is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Berto closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Berto lands in his opponent's guard.
Caltorius thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Caltorius wants to get back to his feet but Berto is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Berto pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Caltorius is keeping the position for now.
Caltorius manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Berto manages to get himself to full guard.
Berto lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Caltorius!
Berto is breathing heavily.
Caltorius tries to hold on but Berto postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Caltorius controls the position.
Berto trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Berto get's back to his feet.
Caltorius tries to clinch but Berto moves out of range.
Berto closes this distance looking for a takedown but Caltorius circles away.
Berto on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
A jab-cross combination lands for Caltorius and sends Berto crashing to the mat! Caltorius follows him down to the mat - Berto regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!


Berto is rocked!


It looks like Arnold Berto has been cut.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Caltorius throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Oh Berto is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Berto throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Caltorius manages to pass to side control.
Caltorius has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Caltorius misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Berto is looking to reverse the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Berto is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Caltorius has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Berto seems to have got his legs back now.
Berto wants to control but Caltorius postures up.
Caltorius is looking to take a break and control but Berto is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Berto prevents Caltorius from moving into mount.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Caltorius tests Berto's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Caltorius scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Caltorius looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Berto missing with a left hand there. Caltorius was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Caltorius tries to keep at a distance but Berto has taken the fight into the clinch.
Berto manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Caltorius tries to stall but Berto uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Caltorius can't break the clinch.
Caltorius tries a knee to the head but Berto blocks it.

Berto breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Caltorius fails with the takedown.
Berto throws a head kick but Caltorius moves out of range.

Berto gets the takedown into side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Berto has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Berto scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Arnold Berto will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Arnold Berto's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Caltorius lands a slapping body shot.
Caltorius stuffs the takedown.
Berto checks a low kick from Caltorius.
Caltorius shoots in for a takedown but Berto shows good takedown defense.
Berto shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Caltorius tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Berto swivels and escapes.

Berto has Caltorius up against the cage in a clinch.
Caltorius tries to pull guard but Berto holds him up against the cage and eventually Caltorius drops back down to his feet.
Arnold Berto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Salvius Caltorius.
Berto is trying to stall.
Berto will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Caltorius up against the cage.
Caltorius stalling in the clinch but Berto improves position.

Caltorius manages to break the clinch.

Caltorius shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Berto's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Berto changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Caltorius looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Caltorius tries to improve position but can't.
Caltorius wants to control but Berto postures up.
Berto wants to control but Caltorius is keeping him busy.

Caltorius misses with the combination.
Caltorius fails with the takedown.

Berto shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Caltorius is in all sorts of trouble here.
Caltorius regains half guard.

Berto is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Caltorius trying to hold on to Berto's head to control him but Berto postures up.

Caltorius kicks Berto off and gets back to his feet.

Berto shoots and misses

and Caltorius counters by moving into the clinch.
Caltorius wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Caltorius tries to break the clinch but Berto is controlling the position.

Berto breaks the clinch.
Berto shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Caltorius pinned against the cage. Caltorius gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Berto shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Caltorius as he avoids it easily.
Berto has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Berto there as he acknowledges the shot.
Caltorius wants to clinch but Berto slips to the side

and Berto decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Caltorius's guard.There's a bit of a scramble here and now Caltorius is on top in guard.

Berto manages to escape and get back to his feet!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Salvius Caltorius will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Caltorius stuffs the takedown attempt from Berto. Berto gets slowly back to his feet.

Caltorius goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arnold Berto. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Caltorius throws an overhand right that drops Berto like a sack of potatoes! Caltorius dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
