The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pines fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Walsh to the ground. Pines is now in Walsh's guard.
Walsh avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Pines stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Walsh swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pines stopping the sweep attempt from Walsh.
Walsh wants to stand and escape but Pines is having none of it.
Walsh trying to keep a closed guard but Pines is proving a slippery customer.
Walsh utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Pines showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Walsh is trying to keep Pines in close.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Walsh has control of Pines's left arm, preventing Pines from doing any damage.

Pines cracks Walsh with a solid left hand.
Pines working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Walsh's head.
Walsh is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Pines throws a big elbow that misses.
Pines lands a couple of elbows.
Pines wants to control from the top but Walsh keeps moving.

Walsh wriggles free and stands up.
Pines goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Pines shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Walsh manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Pines stops Walsh from standing up.
Pines postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Oh Walsh is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pines cracks Walsh with a solid left hand.
Pines controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pines loads up on a big left hand. Walsh felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Pines looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Walsh can't hide his disappointment, as Pines celebrates the victory.
