Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between German Fischer (ranked 5697 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aram Carlsberg (ranked 3716 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, German Fischer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aram Carlsberg!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fischer has Carlsberg up against the cage in a clinch.

Carlsberg gets control of Fischer's arms and successfully pulls guard. Carlsberg will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Carlsberg working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fischer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fischer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Carlsberg can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Fischer controls the pace.
Fischer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Carlsberg is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Fischer seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Fischer wants to get back to his feet but Carlsberg is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Carlsberg wants to stand and escape but instead Fischer has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.


Fischer drops back looking for a leg! Carlsberg is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Carlsberg manages to kick Fischer off! Fischer jumps back into Carlsberg's guard.

German Fischer dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Carlsberg shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Carlsberg throws an elbow that misses. Fischer uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Carlsberg's guard. Nice move by Fischer!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Carlsberg has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Fischer uses from the top position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Carlsberg can do anything to dispel that myth.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Fischer connects with a nice short shot to Carlsberg's temple.

That was a close second round but I would say that German Fischer will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Carlsberg has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Fischer clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Carlsberg seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Fischer's chin but Fischer turns very nicely into Carlsberg's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Fischer.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Carlsberg is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carlsberg winds up and cracks Fischer with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Carlsberg is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Fischer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Carlsberg stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fischer swivels though and keeps the full guard.

German Fischer showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Fischer has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
