Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Twittle Twister (ranked 5545 p4p, 394 weight class) and Tyler King (ranked 6163 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Twittle Twister!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tyler King!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Hugh Johnson and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Twister closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Twittle Twister seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Twister misses the shot to the body.
No joy there for Twister, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Twister looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Twister swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
King keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Twister.
Twister digs a good body shot into King's ribs.
Twister throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and King counters with a big uppercut that knocks Twister off his feet! King dives into side control looking to finish!


Twister is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Twister is looking for a sweep.
Oh Twister is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Twister wants to control but King postures up.
King is staying tight to Twister's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Twister seems to have got his legs back now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Twister gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
King tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Twister is desperately trying to improve his position but King has a good base and remains in mount.
King controlling his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Twister can't escape the position.
King controlling his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Twister is working to get back to half guard.
King content just to control the position here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tyler King dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


King slips under a jab from Twister.
Sloppy strikes from Twister. Those never looked like landing.
King avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
King looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Twittle Twister is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Twister lands a jab to King's midsection.
King dodges the punch combination from Twister.

Twister slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

King has managed to clinch.
Twister throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Kings head.
Twister blocks a punch to the side of the head.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Twister creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

King breaks from the clinch.
King fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Twister on the side of the head.
Twister lands a really nice looking cross but King seems unphased.
Twister wants to clinch but King slips to the side
and King counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Twister throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
King showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Twister.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Twister tries to clinch but King is having none of it.
Good standup being displayed there by King as he connects with a hook.
Twister misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
King has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Twister throws a combination that misses

and King counters by clinching up.

King pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Twister tries to bum rush King with a series of wild strikes but King uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Oh, that's a big right hand from King and Twister goes tumbling to the canvas! King follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
King is continuing to stall.
Twister tries to regain full guard. Instead though, King has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
King sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Twister tries to hold on but King postures up.
King controlling his opponent.
Twister tries to reverse the position but King maintains control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tyler King showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


King takes a swing at Twister's ribcage but misses.
King gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Twister.
Twister throws a combination but it was largely blocked by King.
Twister misses with the combination.
King keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Twister.
It seemed like King was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

King lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Twister sprawling to the canvas. King follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Twister hang on?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
King looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Twister with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Twister is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
King is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Twister might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

King looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Twister with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
King with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
King wants to pass to mount but Twister is defending the position.

King postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Twister to stand up.
Tyler King seems to be getting the better of the standup.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
King lands the left hand.
King staying out of range there.
King uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Twister.
Twister is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
King is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
King drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Twister right on the button. Twister goes down! King follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! King gets the win via TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tyler King!
