Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Tucker (ranked 3104 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Llamas (ranked 3041 p4p, 0 weight class). Tucker's entrance music is Ace of Spades. A fine choice. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Tucker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Diego Llamas!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tucker gets caught flat footed, as Llamas shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Tucker looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Tucker tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Tucker doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Tucker keeping moving, preventing Llamas from controlling successfully.
Llamas being controlled here momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tucker trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Llamas won't allow Tucker to sweep him here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Llamas feints and as Tucker raises his hands in defense, Llamas changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Tucker working for a triangle but Llamas defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tucker seems keen to control Llamas's posture.
Llamas wants to control from the top but Tucker keeps moving.
Tucker looking to hit a scissor sweep but Llamas is one step ahead there.
Llamas looking to pass the guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Tucker holds on and takes a little breather.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Tucker is looking for a triangle but Llamas pushes his legs off easily.

Tucker tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Tucker is working hard here to advance position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Diego Llamas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Llamas closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Llamas lands in his opponent's guard.

Tucker striking off his back, scoring a few points.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Tucker thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Llamas wants to control from the top but Tucker keeps moving.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Tucker is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Llamas won't allow Tucker to sweep him here.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Llamas looks to land a combination but Tucker avoids it well.
As Llamas looks to move away, Tucker throws a big counter combo but Llamas just gets out of the way.
Llamas showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Tucker.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Llamas gets a double leg takedown into Tucker's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Diego Llamas dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Llamas is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Tucker drives through and clinches with Llamas against the cage.
Tucker lands a left hand.

Llamas gets control of Tucker's arms and successfully pulls guard. Llamas will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Tucker is working Llamas over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Tucker's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Tucker throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Llamas works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Tucker makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Tucker lands a couple of elbows.
Tucker scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Tucker has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Tucker working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Llamas's head.

Tucker makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Llamas looking to control.
Tucker connects with a couple of short punches.
Llamas not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Tucker postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tucker not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Llamas has momentary wrist control but Tucker slips an elbow through the middle.
Tucker working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Llamas's head.
Tucker lands a couple of digs.
Tucker is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Tucker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Tucker postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Llamas has momentary wrist control but Tucker slips an elbow through the middle.

Tucker thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Tucker is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Tucker looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Tucker lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Tucker postures up and lands a big shot to Llamas's brow.


Llamas is rocked!

Llamas is still in real trouble! Can Tucker finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tucker loads up on a big left hand. Llamas felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Tucker looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Llamas can't hide his disappointment, as Tucker celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Tucker!
