The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maiden lands with a slapping head kick.
Burns misses with a series of wild punches.
Maiden misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Maiden lands a high kick!
Maiden walks into a left hand.
Maiden throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Maiden slips under a jab.
Burns scores with a one two! Maiden had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Eddy Maiden has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Maiden keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Maiden is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Burns throws a hook but Maiden blocks it.
Maiden walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Burns checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Burns throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Maiden takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Maiden tries to close the distance and clinch but Burns swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Burns tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Maiden was well out of range. Poor timing from Burns.
Burns avoids the head kick by Maiden.
Maiden throws a head kick but Burns moves out of range.
Burns fails to land with a series of punches.
Maiden tries to close the distance and clinch but Burns swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Burns looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

and Burns counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Maiden thinking.

Maiden avoids the head kick by Burns.
Burns takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Burns lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Maiden circles away quickly and effectively.
Burns blocks a head kick by Maiden.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Maiden throws a head kick that Burns semi-blocks.

Oooooh!!! Burns has knocked Maiden down with a huge combo! Burns steps away and waves a wobbly Maiden back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

That has opened up Eddy Maiden's cut even more.
Maiden tries to clinch up but Burns circles away and keeps his distance.
Maiden is still on wobbly legs! Can Burns finish him?
Burns moves out of range as Maiden throws a body kick.
Eddy Maiden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maiden throws a low kick but Burns avoids it.
Maiden throws a sloppy head kick and Burns moves out of range easily.
Maiden looks winded!
Burns cracks Maiden with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Maiden falls to his knees and Burns doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
