The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takashi walks into a left hand.
Takashi shoots in for a takedown but Sireika shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Sireika has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Takashi shoots and misses
and Takashi takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Takashi fails with the takedown
and Sireika counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Saku Takashi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Takashi moves forwards but Sireika connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Sireika clinches up with Takashi and pushes him back against the cage.

Sireika is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Horrible takedown attempt by Takashi or perhaps it was just good defense by Sireika, which made it look bad.
Sireika tries to counter with a clinch but Takashi shakes him off and moves away.
Takashi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sireika but Sireika pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Takashi goes for a double leg but Sireika avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Sireika continues to drive forward.
Sireika tries to counter by closing the distance.

Takashi darts in and clinches Sireika up against the cage.

Takashi wants to take the fight to the mat but Sireika manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Takashi jumps guard but Sireika turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Sireika stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Takashi is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Sireika to keep the fight standing.
