Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shit Face (ranked 6071 p4p, 532 weight class) and Jean Labosky (ranked 3300 p4p, 347 weight class). Face's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Blue clear sky. Jean Labosky will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 47 - 41 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Shit Face!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 27 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jean Labosky!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Face throws an off balance right hand
and Labosky counters with a series of strikes. Face will be more careful next time no doubt.
Face swings for the body but Labosky moves out of range.
Labosky wants to counter with a clinch but Face pushes him away.
Face misses with a low kick.
Face misses with a body punch
letting Labosky counter with a right hand.
Face misses with a low kick.
Labosky appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.

Labosky moves into range and clinches up with Face.

Labosky breaks from the clinch.
Face throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Labosky has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

enabling Labosky to counter with a crisp jab.
Face throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

It looks like Shit Face has been cut.
Face throws a low kick but it's checked well by Labosky.

Labosky drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Face defends it well.

Face chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Labosky can pounce on him.
Shit Face seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Face. Labosky does a little dance to reset his feet.

Face has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Labosky uses from the top position.
Labosky wants to pass the guard but Face is keeping the position.

Face is working an open guard so Labosky takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Face throws a hook to the side of Labosky's head but Labosky sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

enabling Labosky to counter with a crisp jab.
Face attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Labosky steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Face.
Face fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
As Face backs off Labosky throws a huge counter combo but Face manages to avoid it all.

Oh Face is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Labosky throws a half hearted mid kick.
Face seems to have got his legs back now.
Face throws a nice looking combination but Labosky bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Labosky rushes Face and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Face gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Labosky.

Face pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Labosky uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Face.
Labosky lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Face takes a swing at Labosky's ribcage but misses.
Labosky throws a counter combo.
Face misses with a few strikes there.
Despite the aggression on Labosky's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Shit Face is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Labosky moves out of range as Face strikes.
Labosky is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

and Labosky connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Face doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Labosky counters with a big head kick but Face shrugs it off.
Labosky misses with a head kick.
Face fails to land with a series of punches.
Labosky keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Labosky stalks Face and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Face's face. Face staggers backwards, shaken.

Labosky steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Face.

Face does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Labosky is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Labosky throws the kick towards the body but Face avoids it.
Labosky has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Face avoids a kick to the body.
Labosky scores with a one two! Face had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Face throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Labosky sees it coming and avoids it easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well Labosky has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
