Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Xing Pugberg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jamaican Jam!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Reed Andrews and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jam scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Pugberg looks to land a left hand but Jam moved out of range nicely.
Pugberg slips under a jab.
Pugberg tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jam was well out of range. Poor timing from Pugberg.
Pugberg smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Pugberg scores with a jab to the head.
Jam lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Pugberg throws a hook but Jam blocks it.
Pugberg looks to land a right hand but Jam moved out of range.
Jam throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jam missing with a left hand there. Pugberg was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

and Jam counters with a straight right hand.
Pugberg throws a shot from downtown. Jam moves away and avoids it.
Jam moves out of range as Pugberg strikes.
A telegraphed right hand from Jam misses the target.
Pugberg attempts a counter takedown but Jam avoids it well and moves away.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pugberg walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Jam on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Jam avoids the body shot from Pugberg.
Jam looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Jam connects with a looping right hand.
A big right from Pugberg misses.
Pugberg takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Pugberg darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Pugberg throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Pugberg swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Jam.
Pugberg shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jam pinned against the cage. Jam gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jam misses with a hook.
Pugberg misses the shot to the body.

Jam gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pugberg to score an easy takedown into full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pugberg is fighting to break Jam's control of his arms but Jam is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Pugberg thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jam can do anything to dispel that myth.

Pugberg drops back looking for a leg! Jam is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jam manages to kick Pugberg off! Pugberg jumps back into Jam's guard.

Pugberg might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Pugberg stopping the sweep attempt from Jam.
Pugberg pushes down on Jam's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Pugberg wants to work for an arm triangle but Jam is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Pugberg looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Pugberg works his foot free and advances to mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Pugberg wants to finish this one by submission but Jam is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Pugberg.
Jam tries to hold on but Pugberg pushes him away.

Pugberg is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Pugberg extends the arm and Jam is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Xing Pugberg!
Jamaican Jam was interviewed post fight and said 'This fucking blind referee is friends with the fucking biased judges who are both paid by my PED-using opponent's manager. Fuck them and fuck the haters! What are you looking at asshole? Come at me, I'll mash you like potatoes!! Mommy!! They are threatening me! 😭'.
