PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Diego Llamas (ranked 4553 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bbequenbawer Alvarez (ranked 7793 p4p, 0 weight class). Alvarez has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Llamas gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Alvarez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Llamas walks away with a smile on his face. Alvarez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Llamas shoots in for a takedown but Alvarez shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Llamas is looking to cinch up a triangle. Alvarez throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Llamas's body to avoid the submission. Llamas has instead reached around Alvarez's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Llamas arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
