Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Collin Minus (ranked 3116 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chenchen Li (ranked 7360 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Collin Minus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chenchen Li!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Li cracks a nice hook into Minus's ribs.
Li shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Minus pinned against the cage. Minus gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Li tries to sprawl but Minus drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Minus is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Minus thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Li's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Minus shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Li but Li pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Minus shoots in for a takedown but Li shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Li takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Li shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Minus cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Minus clinches up with Li and pushes him back against the cage.
Li has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Minus is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Minus wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Minus's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Minus is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Li to keep the fight standing.

Li is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Minus is defending well.
Minus is struggling to control the position.

Minus drags the fight down to the ground.
Li wants to control from the top but Minus keeps moving.
Minus is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
