Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Erikson (ranked 6404 p4p, 517 weight class) and Derek Rogan (ranked 4866 p4p, 443 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogan gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Erikson.
Erikson throws a leg kick
so Rogan counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Rogan looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Rogan postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Rogan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Rogan chips away with some ground and pound.
Rogan stopping the sweep attempt from Erikson.
Rogan drops back looking for a leg! Erikson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Erikson manages to kick Rogan off! Rogan jumps back into Erikson's guard.

Erikson can't keep his opponent in guard - Rogan advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Rogan moves into full mount! Erikson won't be happy about that!
Rogan has control of Erikson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Erikson regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Rogan is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Rogan extends the arm and Erikson is forced to tap!
