The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Macrae misses.
Haggus throws out a loose jab but Macrae uses good head movement to avoid it.
Haggus fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Macrae swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Macrae lands a nice shot to the body.
Macrae looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Macrae throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Haggus on the side of the head.

Haggus looks for a takedown but Macrae sprawls well.
Larry Haggus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Haggus throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Macrae tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Haggus is in Macrae's guard.

Macrae really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Haggus. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Haggus has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Haggus drops back looking for a leg! Macrae is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Macrae manages to kick Haggus off! Haggus jumps back into Macrae's guard.
Macrae has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Haggus looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Haggus has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Macrae defend it? Haggus steps over the head and cranks it - Macrae is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Haggus!
