Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves dives in for a single leg takedown but Machine sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Machine! But no joy.
Machine tests Alves's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Alves shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Machine pinned against the cage. Machine gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Alves fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luiz Alves. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Machine dodges the punch combination from Alves.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alves takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Machine has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Alves is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Alves looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Machine leaves Alves with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Alves has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Machine finds it's way round the side to connect with Alves's head.
Machine lands with a straight right. Alves didn't see that one coming.

Machine sends Alves crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Machine is motioning to the referee to let Alves up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Alves is rocked!
Alves lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Machine circles away quickly and effectively.
Oh Alves is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Alves goes for a double leg but Machine avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Machine continues to drive forward.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Machine connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Alves out cold! This one is over in a flash!
