Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gunnar Steigelmann (ranked 791 p4p, 41 weight class) and Diarmuid Curry (ranked 506 p4p, 30 weight class). Curry is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Epic Celtic Music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Curry connects with a nice looking jab.
It looks like Gunnar Steigelmann has been cut.
Steigelmann misses with a double jab
and Curry counters with a good low kick that Steigelmann was not able to check.
Curry ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Steigelmann moves away.
Steigelmann staying out of range there.
Curry gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Curry works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Steigelmann is breathing heavily.
Steigelmann misses with a body punch.
Curry lands with a right to the head.
Curry scores with a nice hook to the head.
Curry throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Curry avoids the elbow strike from Steigelmann, against the cage.
Steigelmann tries a knee to the head but Curry blocks it.

Curry lands a left hand.

Curry lands a damaging elbow.
Curry digs a right hand underneath Steigelmann's ribcage. Steigelmann let out a lung full of air as it connected.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Curry comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Gunnar Steigelmann's cut is getting worse.
Curry lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Curry lands with a right to the head.
Steigelmann's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Curry tries to work over Steigelmann's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Steigelmann lands a knee to the head.
Curry lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Steigelmann backwards.
Curry lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Steigelmann is rocked!
Curry creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Steigelmann with a big uppercut! Steigelmann tries to clinch up but Curry pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Steigelmann to the mat! Steigelmann covers up and Curry unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Diarmuid Curry!
Diarmuid Curry decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
