Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vance Wallace (ranked 5857 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robbie Walker (ranked 25402 p4p, 0 weight class). Robbie Walker will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vance Wallace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Robbie Walker!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Ivan Kurochkin and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Walker gets the takedown into side control.
Wallace tries to improve position but can't.
Wallace could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Walker tries to move to mount but Wallace blocks the move with his legs.
Wallace is trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wallace regains half guard.
Wallace moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Wallace tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Wallace is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Wallace has his foot on Walker's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Walker works his way back into a safe position though.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Walker swings for the body but Wallace moves out of range.

Walker darts in and clinches Wallace up against the cage.
Walker tries to stall but Wallace uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Wallace wants the takedown. Walker is fighting it off but Wallace persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Walker's guard against the cage.
Wallace might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Wallace drops back looking for a leg! Walker is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Walker manages to kick Wallace off! Wallace jumps back into Walker's guard.
Walker wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Wallace is now in half guard.

Walker is looking to improve his position.

Wallace has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Walker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Wallace avoids the head kick by Walker.

Walker takes the fight into the clinch.
Walker is pressed up against the cage. Wallace has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Walker down to the mat. Walker avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Wallace holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Wallace lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Wallace is working Walker over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Walker throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Wallace escapes and throws Walker's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Wallace decides to stand back up. Wallace steps back and let's Walker get back to his feet.

Wallace closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Wallace lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Walker down.

Walker wants to get back to his feet but Wallace is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Wallace is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Wallace lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Wallace is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Wallace shoots in and bounces Walker off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Wallace is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Wallace is in close to Walker's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Wallace postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Walker takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Wallace postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Walker is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Wallace, into his guard.


Wallace has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Walker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Wallace is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Walker defends well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Wallace jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Wallace closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Wallace lands with a punch from half guard.
Wallace scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Wallace looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Walker with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Wallace winds up and cracks Walker with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wallace, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
