Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Khabib NurmaNurma (ranked 5894 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akira Yamato (ranked 5053 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Ren Mimura and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
NurmaNurma's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Yamato connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! NurmaNurma scrambles back to his feet.
NurmaNurma shoots in and bounces Yamato off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Yamato has momentary wrist control but NurmaNurma slips an elbow through the middle.
NurmaNurma throwing strikes but missing.
NurmaNurma working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
NurmaNurma with a flurry of punches that miss.
Yamato keeping moving, preventing NurmaNurma from controlling successfully.
NurmaNurma prevents Yamato from getting back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
NurmaNurma works a leg free and moves into half guard.
NurmaNurma is looking to advance position but Yamato won't allow it.

NurmaNurma has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Yamato has hold of NurmaNurma's hands but NurmaNurma slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
NurmaNurma content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
What can Yamato do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Yamato looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

NurmaNurma has his arm under Yamato's chin here. Game over son! NurmaNurma squeezes tightly and Yamato is forced to tap out!
