Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rodrik Cassel!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice cross by Acosta.
Acosta with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Acosta ducks under a wild hook from Cassel.
Cassel drops his hands momentarily and Acosta takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
A jab from Acosta does it's job there.
Acosta sizes up Cassel with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Acosta uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cassel.
Acosta connects with a single shot there.
Cassel has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Acosta finds it's way round the side to connect with Cassel's head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Acosta bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Cassel's head.
Cassel takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Acosta takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Acosta works the jab nicely.
Acosta cracks Cassel with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Acosta scores with a crisp jab that stopped Cassel in his tracks.
Cassel gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Acosta.

Acosta swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Nice uppercut lands for Acosta. That snapped Cassel's head back.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Cassel has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Miguel Acosta is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Acosta lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Good exchange - Acosta coming out on top.
Cassel fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Cassel takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Acosta is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Acosta bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Cassel on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Acosta lands a really nice looking cross but Cassel seems unphased.

Acosta jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Miguel Acosta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Acosta lands a nice hook to Cassel's body. Cassel takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Acosta scores with a decent looking hook.

Acosta uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Cassel has time to react.
Cassel walks into a straight right hand from Acosta.
Cassel takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Acosta connects with a crisp jab.

Cassel closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Cassel has hold of Acosta's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Acosta seems comfortable defending it but Cassel has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Acosta is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Acosta is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Cassel couldn't care less - he's delighted!
