Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Akira Harada!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Steve Erwin and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Harada throws a right hand that misses
and Johnson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Johnson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Harada throws out the jab.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Johnson lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Harada has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Harada and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Harada swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Harada swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Harada checks a low kick from Johnson.
Harada throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Johnson sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Harada lands with a hook. Johnson tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Johnson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Johnson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Harada is trying to improve his position.
Johnson lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Harada down.
You can see the frustration on Harada's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Harada is trying to control Johnson's posture but Johnson avoids it.
Harada told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Johnson connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Harada some visible discomfort.

Johnson cracks Harada with a big right hand but Harada just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Harada is rocked!
Harada really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Johnson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Johnson in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Harada looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Johnson turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!

After winning the bout, Mike Johnson thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
