Ithamar shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Carruthers is trying to defend but Ithamar finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Ithamar perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Ithamar is trying to work for a kimura but Carruthers is defending well.
Ithamar content to control rather than advance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ithamar is working to tighten his grip on Carruthers's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Carruthers has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Ithamar is really squeezing tight and eventually Carruthers passes out! Ithamar breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
