And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Gibson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Garrison looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Garrison really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Garrison tries to clinch up but Gibson circles away and keeps his distance.

Gibson rushes Garrison and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Gibson manages to pull guard.
Gibson is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Garrison trying to stand up but can't free himself from Gibson's guard.
Garrison will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Garrison won't allow Gibson to get back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gibson has Garrison pulled in close to control his posture.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Garrison moves in looking to clinch but Gibson pushes him off.

Gibson shoots in and bounces Garrison off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

and Gibson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Garrison's guard.

Garrison wants to clinch.

Gibson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Garrison has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Gibson is on him like a limpet, forcing Garrison back against the cage.

Gibson pulls Garrison in close to prevent any damage.
Gibson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Garrison moves out of range of the body kick from Gibson.
Garrison tries to counter with a takedown but Gibson is quick to defend against it.

Gibson closes the distance and clinches.
Garrison goes for a takedown in the clinch but Gibson prevents it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gibson postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Garrison to stand up.

Gibson darts in and clinches Garrison up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gibson gets control of Garrison's arms and successfully pulls guard. Gibson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Garrison decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Gibson turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Levi Garrison is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Gibson closes the distance and pushes Garrison back into the cage.

Gibson gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Garrison regains guard.
Gibson connects with a couple of short punches.
Gibson scoring with punches to the head and body.
Gibson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Garrison wanted to stand there but Gibson had control of the position.
Gibson pulls Garrison in close to prevent any damage.

Gibson kicks Garrison off and gets to his feet.
Gibson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Despite the aggression on Gibson's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Gibson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gibson lands in his opponent's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Gibson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Garrison swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Gibson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Garrison appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Garrison wants to clinch up but Gibson keeps it at a distance.
And Gibson tries to counter it with a takedown but Garrison pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Joe Gibson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Gibson throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Garrison stumbling backwards into the cage! Garrison bounces back off the cage towards Gibson, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Gibson lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Gibson celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Joe Gibson!
