Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Morais (ranked 3946 p4p, 318 weight class) and Dhino Savi (ranked 24700 p4p, 513 weight class). Dhino Savi has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderson Morais!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dhino Savi!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Leandro Rodrigues and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Savi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Morais. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Savi postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Morais has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Savi is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Morais.

Let's hope that Savi has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Morais is trying to push Savi away but Savi has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Savi's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Morais is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Dhino Savi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!



Savi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Morais has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Savi has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Savi jumps guard and drags Morais to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Savi has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Morais wants to take a breather but Savi is having none of it.

Savi should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Morais has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Savi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Morais is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Savi defends well.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Morais is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Morais is looking to take a break and control but Savi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Dhino Savi is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Anderson Morais showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Savi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
