Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Charles Hawtry (ranked 2788 p4p, 312 weight class) and Jarred Reich (ranked 2103 p4p, 251 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hawtry might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Rain. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawtry throws a leg kick
and Reich counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Reich drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Reich misses with some punches.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Hawtry.
Hawtry blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Hawtry gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Reich regains guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hawtry looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Hawtry has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Reich is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hawtry.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hawtry postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Reich is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hawtry, into his guard.

Reich gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Hawtry.

Hawtry looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Reich has picked Hawtry up and slammed him! Hawtry can't keep hold of the triangle and Reich manages to pass to side control!
