The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shinji gets tackled into the cage by Miller. Miller maintains the clinch.
Miller misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Shinji.
Shinji keeps control of Miller as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Miller wants to get back to striking at distance but Shinji won't allow it.
Shinji tries to pull guard but Miller holds him up against the cage and eventually Shinji drops back down to his feet.
Miller prevents a body shot from Shinji.

so Shinji counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Shinji stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Miller swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Miller wants to sweep here but Shinji controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Miller bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Shinji's guard.
Shinji is striking but Miller is not phased and passes to half guard.
Miller controlling the action here.

Shinji wants to improve his position but Miller is controlling well.
Shinji misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Miller tries to pass to full mount but Shinji defends it.
Miller content to control rather than advance.
Miller's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Shinji looks like he's trying to stand up.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Shinji manages to get to full guard.
Shinji manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Miller manages to get himself to full guard.
Miller is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Shinji throws a sloppy strike and Miller has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Shinji is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Miller!
