Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Warden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shannon Bailey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Warden comes to the cage accompanied by bodies. Jason Warden has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jason Warden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Shannon Bailey!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Ackerman and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Warden bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Warden wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bailey, who protects the arm well.
Bailey wants to control but Warden postures up.
Bailey sneaks back into half guard.
Bailey is trying to control but can't.
Warden looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bailey with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Warden not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Bailey pushes Warden off looking to stand but Warden dives back in and keeps control.
Bailey wants to control but Warden is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Warden prevents Bailey from standing back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Warden tries to clinch up but Bailey circles away and keeps his distance.

Warden shoots in and drives through. Bailey sprawls well.
Bailey misses with a takedown attempt
and Warden counters with a two punch combo.
Warden throws a right and a left that Bailey avoids nicely.
Warden throws a sloppy head kick and Bailey moves out of range easily.

and Warden counters with a series of strikes. Bailey will be more careful next time no doubt.

Well Warden has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
