Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cole Burch (ranked 8048 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takeshi Shuhan (ranked 6146 p4p, 0 weight class). Takeshi Shuhan has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Cole Burch's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shuhan shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Shuhan is looking for a kimura but Burch is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Shuhan to get the leverage.

Shuhan is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Burch doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Shuhan.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Shuhan has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Lock and Roll Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Shuhan has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Burch defend it? Shuhan steps over the head and cranks it - Burch is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Shuhan!

In his post fight interview, Takeshi Shuhan started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
