The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kuro scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Mills might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Mills is trying to control Kuro's posture but Kuro avoids it.

Kuro creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Mills sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Mills manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kuro manages to get himself to full guard.

Kuro throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Mills escapes and throws Kuro's legs to the side, diving into side control!

You can see the frustration on Kuro's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Mills is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kuro is wriggling around trying to escape.
Kuro tries to hold on but Mills postures up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kuro is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Mills is staying active.
Kuro is bucking up trying to escape but Mills cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Mills landing punches.
Kuro is desperately trying to improve his position but Mills has a good base and remains in mount.
Mills lands a big elbow.
Mills scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Kuro?
Mills postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Kuro looks a forlorn figure.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kuro tries to lock up and control but Mills gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kuro gets to his feet. Mills looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Kuro gets a double leg takedown into Mills's guard.
Kuro is breathing heavily.
Mills has control of Kuro's left arm, preventing Kuro from doing any damage.

Mills has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Kuro should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Mills has tightened it up now! Kuro should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
