The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anthony goes for a double leg but Shields avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Shields continues to drive forward.
Sloppy strikes from Shields. Those never looked like landing.
Shields feints and as Anthony raises his hands in defense, Shields changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Shields trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shields throws a big right hand that misses.
Anthony has momentary wrist control but Shields slips an elbow through the middle.
Anthony wants to improve his position but instead Shields has moved into half guard.
Shields scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Anthony wants to sweep but Shields has passed to side control!
Shields cracks Anthony with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Shields immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Anthony is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Shields!
