Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Segey Taranin (ranked 1929 p4p, 189 weight class) and John Lennon (ranked 1788 p4p, 175 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Segey Taranin has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Segey Taranin seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taranin just misses with a punch to the body.
Taranin shoots in and bounces Lennon off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Lennon wants to sweep here but Taranin controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lennon is looking to stand up but Taranin isn't so interested in that idea.

Lennon sneaks out the side door and pushes Taranin away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Taranin takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

John Lennon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Taranin misses with an uppercut.
Lennon ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Lennon connects with a crisp jab.

That's time! Taranin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Lennon wants to land a leg kick but Taranin is out of range.
John Lennon seems to be getting the better of the standup.
The fighters circle momentarily. Lennon darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Lennon slips a jab and a cross from Taranin.
Lennon fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Lennon has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Lennon jabs Taranin to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Lennon loads up on a big right hand but Taranin slips the punch.
Taranin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lennon throws out the jab.
Taranin misses with a takedown attempt
and Lennon counters with a straight right hand.

Taranin gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Taranin tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Lennon is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Taranin buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Taranin!! Taranin is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Lennon throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Lennon!
