The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Alvarez takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Damien Alvarez has been cut.
Alvarez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Van Roosmalen as he jumps to the side.
Van Roosmalen lands a big head kick that sends Alvarez to the canvas! Van Roosmalen follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bidon Van Roosmalen!
Damien Alvarez was interviewed post fight and said 'He was just better than me tonight. I'm gonna watch some film and analyze what went wrong. Props to him. I'll be back'.
