Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Patricia Whitfield (ranked 6155 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cam Miller (ranked 6987 p4p, 0 weight class). Cam Miller will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Whitfield!

Miller throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Whitfield tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Miller is in Whitfield's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Whitfield wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Miller is now in half guard.
Miller perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Whitfield is trying to get back to full guard.

Miller is trying to work for a kimura but Whitfield is defending well.
Whitfield wants to control but Miller is keeping busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Miller is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Miller is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Whitfield is just riding it out for now. Miller eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Miller has hold of one of Whitfield's legs. Whitfield is fighting the takedown attempt but Miller gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Miller is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Miller is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Whitfield wants to control but Miller passes easily into half guard.

Miller takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Oh Whitfield is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Whitfield tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Miller presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Miller loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Whitfield scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Miller land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Miller stands and salutes the crowd.
