Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Percy Schmeiser (ranked 2714 p4p, 312 weight class) and Paul Irvin (ranked 2679 p4p, 307 weight class). Schmeiser comes to the cage accompanied by David vs Monsanto. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Irvin felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Schmeiser's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Irvin has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Schmeiser is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Irvin.
