Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Morten Iversen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Morten Iversen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jim Jones!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Matheus Silva and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Iversen has taken the fight to the clinch.
Jones with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Jones lands a nice knee to the body.
Iversen has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jones is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Jones is looking to stand up but Iversen won't let him.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Iversen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Iversen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
