Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Martin Ajax (ranked 2431 p4p, 257 weight class) and Rich Silva Jr (ranked 1856 p4p, 204 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Silva Jr's choice of entrance music: Sleeping Giant. On his way into the cage it seems that Martin Ajax has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Martin Ajax seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva Jr just misses with a punch to the body.

Martin Ajax seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ajax throws a body shot but no joy.
Silva Jr connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

We've been informed that Silva Jr has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Ajax walks into a stiff left hand from Silva Jr.

Ajax throws a lazy right hand but Silva Jr sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Ajax fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Silva Jr manages to avoid it.

Silva Jr has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Ajax defend it? Silva Jr steps over the head and cranks it - Ajax is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Silva Jr!
