Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Aslan Bagrian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Metuselah Paakkanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paakkanen has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Aslan Bagrian has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Metuselah Paakkanen!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bagrian fails with an attempt to clinch.
Paakkanen looks gassed!

Bagrian drives through and clinches with Paakkanen against the cage.

Bagrian lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Paakkanen backwards.


It looks like Metuselah Paakkanen has been cut.

Bagrian wants the takedown. Paakkanen is fighting it off but Bagrian persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Paakkanen's guard against the cage.

Bagrian drops back looking for a leg! Paakkanen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Paakkanen manages to kick Bagrian off! Bagrian jumps back into Paakkanen's guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Bagrian goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Paakkanen is on top in guard.

Bagrian bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Paakkanen's guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bagrian really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Bagrian moves into range and clinches up with Paakkanen.

Bagrian working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Paakkanen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Bagrian is tightening it up a little... Paakkanen has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Paakkanen reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Paakkanen taps out! nice BJJ there by Bagrian!
