Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Ysengrin (ranked 1772 p4p, 180 weight class) and Zdravko Dren (ranked 1714 p4p, 175 weight class). Ysengrin kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Cheeky Nandos. Dren has chosen GETO BOYS - mind of a lunatic as his entrance music. Zdravko Dren told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ysengrin throws the left hand but Dren avoids the punch easily.
Dren looks to throw the jab but Ysengrin is out of range.

Ysengrin throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Dren on the side of the head.

Ysengrin dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Dren. That did some damage!

Dren throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dave Ysengrin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dren fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ysengrin manages to avoid it.

and Dren counters with a crisp one two that drops Ysengrin! Dren thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Ysengrin to his feet! Ysengrin is in big trouble!

We've been informed that Dren has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
