The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hatfield throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Collins's waist but Collins gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hatfield off to one side.
Collins fails to land with a series of punches.
Hatfield is looking to counter with head kicks.
Hatfield could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Sloppy strikes from Collins. Those never looked like landing.

Collins bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Hatfield wants to control but Collins postures up.
Collins throws a strike aimed at the side of Hatfield's head but Hatfield avoids it well.
Hatfield is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Collins has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Collins has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Hatfield is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Collins yanks on the arm and Hatfield is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Collins.
