The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cheem tries to close the distance and clinch but Mclovin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Mclovin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mclovin feints the counter takedown.

Mclovin forces Cheem back against the cage and clinches.

It looks like Greg Mclovin has been cut.
With the fighters up against the cage, Mclovin throws an elbow but misses.
Cheem gets underhooks to prevent Mclovin's takedown attempt.
Mclovin is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
I was talking to Cheem's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

What Cheem has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Greg Mclovin.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cheem jerks Mclovin's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Mclovin drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Cheem goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Cheem because Mclovin was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
