Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between The Sewer Rat (ranked 3113 p4p, 369 weight class) and Corwin Valentine (ranked 2932 p4p, 354 weight class). Valentine has chosen I'm the Man as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, The Sewer Rat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Corwin Valentine!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valentine showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rat.
Oooooh!!! Rat has knocked Valentine down with a huge combo! Rat steps away and waves a wobbly Valentine back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Corwin Valentine has been cut.
Rat swinging wildly here.
Rat with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
The Sewer Rat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Valentine takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Valentine.
Valentine uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Valentine has managed to clinch.
Rat throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Valentine lands a knee to the body.
Rat avoids a wild elbow strike from Valentine.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Valentine obliges.
Rat is breathing heavily.
Valentine connects with a knee to the head.
Valentine tries a knee to the head but Rat blocks it.
Valentine is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Rat can't fight it off and eventually Valentine manages to take the fight to the floor. Rat looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Valentine connects with a couple of short punches.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Valentine with a flurry of punches that miss.
Valentine postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Valentine won't allow Rat to sweep him here.

Valentine works over Rat with some ground and pound from guard.
Valentine throwing strikes but missing.
Valentine working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Rat's head.
Valentine trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Valentine content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Valentine has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Valentine stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rat swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Valentine throws a big elbow that misses.
Valentine drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Rat dives on top into guard.
Valentine has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Rat should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Valentine has tightened it up now! Rat should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
