Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jared Meyer (ranked 6087 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raul Do Nascimento (ranked 5773 p4p, 592 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meyer fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Do Nascimento throws a counter combo.
Meyer tries to clinch there but Do Nascimento circles away.
Do Nascimento is looking for the big counter here.
Do Nascimento misses with a takedown
and Meyer counters with a left and a right that stings Do Nascimento.
Do Nascimento dives in and grabs Meyer's left leg, looking for a takedown. Meyer pushes down on Do Nascimento's head and hops out.

Do Nascimento is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Jared Meyer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Raul Do Nascimento.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Meyer seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Do Nascimento for as long as he can get away with.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Meyer could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Do Nascimento throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Meyer.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jared Meyer will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Do Nascimento is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Meyer defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Do Nascimento is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Even with his hooks in, Do Nascimento manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Meyer turns into Do Nascimento and is now in his guard.
Do Nascimento is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Meyer's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Meyer is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Meyer tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Meyer has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

I would just about give that final round to Raul Do Nascimento.
I think Do Nascimento has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
