Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Parker (ranked 2549 p4p, 270 weight class) and Link Gaetz (ranked 4158 p4p, 399 weight class). Parker kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Roots Manuva - Again and Again. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaetz tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Parker is able to avoid easily.
Good work by Parker as he checks the leg kick.
Parker throwing a counter right hand but Gaetz manages to avoid it.
Gaetz throws a lazy body kick
and Parker counters with a stiff right hand.
Gaetz lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gaetz. Parker does a little dance to reset his feet.

and Parker counters with a nice uppercut.
Gaetz connects with a leg kick. Parker looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Parker has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Gaetz.
That kick from Gaetz tenderised Parker's leg. Parker is trying to keep his angry face on.
Gaetz throws a good cross that connects.
Gaetz thows a left - swing and a miss!
An attempted straight right counter from Parker misses the target.
Link Gaetz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Parker with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Gaetz to score with a decent uppercut.
Gaetz throws an overhand right that lands on Parker's shoulder, as Parker tries to avoid the shot.

A slow jab from Gaetz misses its intended target.
A little feinted left hand from Parker on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Gaetz tries to land a front kick but Parker steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

and Gaetz takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Parker looks up at the clock. Bad move! Gaetz lands a right hand from hell, dropping Parker. Gaetz pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
